You're right - the $2,000 amount is cynically calculated. It's just enough to pressure struggling families, but nowhere near enough to build real educational alternatives. And in rural Texas, it's just a way to accelerate the collapse of public schools.

But here's the good news: The bill is stalled because rural communities are pushing back. If you want to help stop this, call your state rep this week. The pressure is working
